CALL FOR PAPERS: SHFG ANNUAL CONFERENCE for 2010 The Society for History in the Federal Government’s (SHFG) is now accepting proposals for individual papers and panels, which will take place in March 2010, at the National Archives and Records Administration (Archives II) in College Park, Maryland. SHFG was founded in 1979 as a non-profit professional organization to promote study and broad understanding of the history of the United States Government and to serve as the voice of the federal historical community. Proposals on any aspect of federal government history and history practice will be considered and are encouraged. SHFG welcomes submissions from historians, archivists, librarians, curators, graduate students, and others engaged in the study of federal government history, regardless of whether or not they are federal employees. Topics may include digital history, archivist issues, historian issues, public relations with donors, and outside work completed by professionals in the federal government. The deadline for proposals is December 20, 2009. Each proposal should include a summary of the topic and a one-page resume of the participant.
