Subject: Early Slavist Seminar at Harvard

Dear Colleagues,

The next meeting of the fall term for the Early Slavists Seminar
series at Harvard University will be on Friday, November 20, 2009.
A roundtable discussion will take place titled:

"Bureaucratic `Modernization' in 18th-Century East Central Europe."

Participants in the roundtable are: Dr. Peter Collmer, a
Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Zurich and Visiting
Scholar at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies,
Harvard University; Dr. Iryna Vushko, Yale University and Shklar
Fellow at the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute; and Professor
Alison Frank, History Department, Harvard University.

The roundtable discussion will be held from 12:15 to 2:00 p.m. in
Room S354 of the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, 1730
Cambridge Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
