We have two talks at Harvard this coming week that may be of interest to
Early Slavists.
The Ukrainian Research Institute invites members of the Harvard community

HURI Seminars in Ukrainian Studies series:
Dr. Ines Garcia de la Puente (Eugene and Daymel Shklar Research Fellow,
Ukrainian Research Institute, Harvard University) will present a paper
titled:
"East or West, North or South? Reassessing Trade Routes in Rus'"
The date and time of the seminar are Monday, October 19, 2009, from
4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event will take place in Room S-050 (Concourse

In addition, the next meeting of the fall term for the Early Slavists
Seminar series sponsored by the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian
Studies at Harvard University will take place on Friday, October 23, 2009.
