I am currently editing some of the writings of DeWitt Clinton Poole, who served in Russia in the U.S. consulate and embassy from 1917 to 1919. I have been able to identify most of the issues and people he discusses or worked with, but a few have remained elusive. They are listed below. I have looked everywhere I can think of, and even written to the respective embassies in the U.S., but to no avail. All of these people are named in FRUS and in other scholars' notes, but no one has anything beyond a name. What I need is basic biographical information (birth, death, other posts). If anyone can suggest a source I would be most grateful. Please respond to me directly at llees@odu.edu<mailto:llees@odu.edu>. Thank you. Lorraine Lees Names: C. A. Acher or Asker, and K. E. Widerstrom, Swedish consuls in Moscow in 1918 H. A. Falens, Norwegian Consul in Moscow, 1918.
