[Editorial Note: Replies should be sent to the email address below.] Dear List members, I am would greatly appreciate some help in comprising a bibliographic list of books/articles that fall under the rubric of national security. I would like opinions on books/articles that list members think would be ESSENTIAL to any bibliographic list on the topic. I would like to cast the net wide to include books/articles that employ the "national security thesis," the national security state, and specific issues of national security to include nuclear weapons and other forms of military strategy. Any other areas that list members can think of are certainly welcome as well. My area of interest is primarily the Truman era, but it is okay to branch out from there or to include works that may only partially cover the Truman era, so please don't let that hold you back. My focus as well is primarily historical studies, so not so interested in commentaries on current events, but, all the same, please don't hold back if you have ideas you are willing to share. If you are willing to help out, please send your responses to me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. I thank you in advance for any help you might be able to provide.
