Jeremy, The DC newspapers should give you some insights and information. Besides that, the overall was much different than just the 2 high schools in specific you are seeking to find out info. Also, the Johnson Library in Texas would be a source. I've some movie film[private] that I took of part of the riots effects in DC.........no way for you to use that however. The Capitol was under martial law with troops from both the 3rd Marines and 82nd Airborne providing security during the period of martial law. When the rioting first started, a friend and myself drove down one street heading directly to the White House and looters were emptying stores all along the street. One kid ran in front of my car carrying a TV from a TV store and he stopped and just looked at us and then ran onward across the street. Such matters were common the first few hours; after US troops pulled into the Capitol, the streets were locked down from dusk to dawn and patrolled all night as well as having stationed troops all about the City. One thing we noted, the bayonets on rifles were all sheathed. Wyatt Reader UCLA___Whittier College Calif.
