CALL FOR PROPOSALS/Papers 31st Annual Washington, D.C. Historical Studies Conference* November 4-6, 2004 DEADLINE: March 17, 2004 Call for Papers – The Conference is calling for papers and presentations on a wide variety of topics of local history interest, including its neighborhoods, ethnic groups, local politics, religion, science, art and media, historic preservation, and architecture. see: http://www.h-net.org/~dclist/HSC_Full.pdf http://www.h-net.org/~dclist/hsc2002.pdf for previous conferences. First planning meeting Jan 14, 2004 4 pm. Presenters will give a 20-minute presentation within a specific 90-minute conference session led by a panel moderator. For each paper or session proposal, if you can please provide the following information: 1) Title of session/paper 2) Session participants (identify moderator) or author of paper: name, title and affiliation, email and postal addresses, phone number 3) 100 word description of session or abstract of paper (for review by Program Committee and use in conference brochure) 4) Name and contact information for submitter (if not included in #2 above) While formal proposals are best, if you have something less formal which can be developed into a paper/panel send it along for consideration. The preferred method of submission is via email. Please send the information requested below as an attachment to Program Committee Co-chair Gail Redmann at gredmann@citymuseumdc.org.
