Sent: Thursday, November 12, 2009 11:39 AM Subject: H-Connecticut -----Willington Tavern Photos The Willington Historical Society recently acquired: · Daniel Glazier Tavern · 1 Common Road, Willington · Original construction, 1815 The officers of the society are seeking possible photos that may exist, that we were not aware of. My thoughts were of the project done in the 1930’s that investigated old structures throughout the state. We became aware of one photo recently of the tavern from this period and was wondering if there might be additional images in the state archives? Additionally, I had read about a couple who had donated images of New England taverns from the 1940’s to OSV. I had looked at their website quickly and found some references to their interest and work of the time only. I was wondering if list members might be able to shed some more light on the possible existence of photos of the Willington Tavern? Best Regards.
