Sent: Thursday, November 12, 2009 2:56 PM Subject: Re: Request - Willington Tavern Photos There is a photo of the Glazier Tavern in the WPA Architectural Survey (Record Group 33, series 28) in the Connecticut State Archives. While that collection is gradually appearing online, we are a long way from Willington (alphabetically). You can contact me directly for more information about access to the survey form and photo. It is possible that there is also something in the Historic American Buildings Survey (Record Group 33, Series 29) being done about the same time, but that was more selective and covered a limited number of buildings. It is also more difficult to access. For a description of the Record Group 33 materials, see our website www.cslib.org and follow the links to History and Genealogy, Finding Aids, Record Group 33. If you visit the Connecticut State Archives, you may also want to check several photo groups, including PG 180 (Mills Collection), PG 300 (Conn. Cities and Towns Collection), PG 320 (Clark Photo Collection), PG 340 (Snyder Photograph Collection), and PG 800 (Post Card Collection).
