ANNOUNCEMENT OF LECTURE We have the pleasure to invite to a lecture at the Oslo Buddhist Studies Forum on Tuesday, November 10th, 2009, 16:00; place: Voksenċsen Konferansesenter (in collaboration with the conference "Hvordan Sakraliseres Steder?" (organizer: Otto Krogseth). We are pleased to announce a guest lecture by Prof. Lothar Ledderose (Univ. of Heidelberg) who will present some of his field research projects (awarded with the prestigious Balzan prize in 2005) in China on monumental medieval sutra inscription projects and other projects trying to "eternalize" Buddhist scriptures (for more information see the abstract below).
