Dear List friends,

As a researcher on China politics, including Taiwan and Hong Kong, and one
who served with the military in Taiwan during the 1960s, I am not aware of
any Hollywood film concerning Taiwan during that period. Taiwan and the
Taiwan "issue" was pretty much ignored by Hollywood, and continues to me.
The recent release of the film "Formosa Betrayed" concerning Taiwan
politics of the 1980s is the first film of its kind, and it is not a major
Hollywood release.
