Last Call for papers for volume of collected essays on History of Kashmir
and the Environment

LAST CALL FOR PAPERS:
History of Kashmir and the Environment
(A collection of environmentally-relevant and edited articles to be
published by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) Press, New Delhi,
India, 2010.)
The book's editors, Professors Lawrence Gundersen and Syed Iqbal Hasnain
are seeking, in particular, 10 to 25 page length articles addressing:
- Degeneration of environment in Kashmir Valley
- Efforts to stop degeneration of the Kashmir environment
- The role of environmental education and awareness in Kashmir
- Forests, Forestry, and Deforestation of Kashmir
- Migration and impact on social environment in Kashmir
- Biodiversity and environmental concerns in Kashmir
- Impact of terrorism on biodiversity of Kashmir
- Energy potential and the environment of Kashmir
- And, Conservation of Kashmir wetlands
Please send manuscripts as MS Word attachments to either
lgundersen@jscc.edu or shasnain@teri.res.in for review and
compatibility. Currently, essays entitled "Historic Gardens of
Kashmir," "Impact of Tourism on Environment," "People, Environmental
Experiences, and Change in Kashmir," "My View of Kolahoi and Kashmir,"
and "Kashmir History and Politics: Water after Partition" have been
accepted for publication.
To be considered, please send your completed work by email no later than
12.15.09.
