Walsh School of Foreign Service (SFS) and the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University invite applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Islamic Studies and Muslim-Christian Relations. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline or interdisciplinary field, be fluent in Arabic and preferably one other language of the Muslim world, and have publications and teaching experience in Islamic studies with a competence in both classical (in particular early Islamic sources, Quran and hadith) and modern Islamic thought. Teaching load is two courses per semester.
