The primary focus will be on visual arts and material culture, but we hope to include some reference to narrative, musical, and performance arts as well as archaeology. Arts of the DRC are among our own specialties, but our expertise is not strong concerning north-central Africa (northern Congo/Brazza, CAR, and Chad), the Great Lakes Region (Rwanda and Burundi), and south-central Africa (southern Zambia, northern Malawi).
