I am interested in putting together a panel for the ASA in November on the
history of refugees/forced migration, either geographically-based (Kenya,
Eastern Africa) or thematically-focused (refugees in colonial Africa).  My
paper would look at how the colonial government in Kenya perceived and
dealt with Ethiopian refugees after the Italian invasion in the 1930s.
