Dear H-Africa and H-Luso Africa listmembers, My latin-americanist colleague Karen Racine (U. of Guelph, Canada) and I are in the final stages of editing "The Human Tradition in the Atlantic World - 1450-1850" and we need contributions on Africa in the early modern period. The book is a collection of short, readable biographies aimed at undergraduate students and the general public. Our focus is on movement across the Atlantic, cross-cultural contact and conflicts.
