Sent: Tuesday, August 30, 2005 Moments before I heard of his death I recommended his work on resistance to one of my graduate students. While the student was in my office I decided to open my email. There it was. A totally unexpected announcement of his death. I met Don Ohadike in Jos in the early 80s and remained a fried and colleague of his until his untimely death.he was pleasant, easy going and the last person on the planet that I would associate with stress and anxiety. It was a shock to hear of his stroke some time ago but even so I expected him to come out of it all in victory.Don, you will always be remembered not only for your contribution to our understanding of resistance to colonialism but for your joie de vivre until the recent tragedy. Dr.Gloria Emeagwali www.africahistory.net and Chief Editor, Africa Update.
