<POLMAN@FSW.leidenuniv.nl> Rob Buijtenhuijs (1936-2004) Rob Buijtenhuijs, a researcher at the African Studies Centre Leiden for almost thirty years until taking early retirement in March 1999, died in France on 15 February 2004. Rob was respected internationally for his publications on rebel movements in Africa, especially those in Kenya and Chad. He was also a long-term member of the editorial committee of the journal Politique Africaine. To commemorate Rob, the Library and Documentation Department of the ASC has compiled a web dossier. It contains a biographical introduction and an overview of Rob's publications, most of which are available in the ASC Library. More detailed descriptions as well as abstracts of articles and edited works can be found in our online catalogue(http://asc.leidenuniv.nl/library/catalogue/) There is an In Memoriam dedicated to Rob (in Dutch) on the News page of our website.
