Dear H-Net subscribers: For many of our readers, September brings the advent of a new academic year; typically, many of you reactivate your subscriptions or join a new network after a hiatus for research, service, summer teaching, or vacation. And at this time of year we experience a wave of new subscriptions especially from instructors seeking to learn and share as their classes begin. So, we welcome you to H-Net, whether you are a veteran subscriber returning to duty, or a new reader just becoming acquainted with what we do. If you are among the latter, be sure to read the Welcome message sent you upon subscribing to a list; it contains valuable information about your postings, subscription management, the list's practices and editorial policies, and H-Net's policies and procedures.
