Proposals are invited for a FESTSCHRIFT to celebrate the 70th Birthday of Ama Ata Aidoo (in 2012) Editor: Anne V. Adams Publisher: Ayebia Clarke Publishing, Ltd. The planned volume will acknowledge the scope of Aidoo's work beyond the interests of literary criticism. It will capitalize upon her radical, unyielding interrogation of social, economic, political, and cultural phenomena that shape Ghanaian and (Pan-) African representation. To capture the broad range embraced by her work, we are inviting, in addition to proposals on literary subjects, proposals from other fields that would treat topics ranging from migration (internal and external) to domestic violence, or from meanings of "development" for Africa to meanings of being African in the 20th and 21st centuries. We envision, therefore, a diverse and multi-disciplinary volume. Deadline for proposals: 15 January 2010. Deadline for completed papers: 1 November 2010 * Submit proposal of at least 150 words to: ava2@cornell.edu
